We actually hate long privacy policies as much as you do, but the law wants us to spell everything out. So here’s the plain-English version of how we handle your data. No corporate blah-blah, just the truth.
Who we are

What we collect and why
When you browse the site we only grab the usual stuff any website grabs: IP address, browser type, which pages you look at and for how long. It helps us see what people actually like and keep the site from crashing.
When you fill a form or book something, we ask for the real stuff: name, email, phone, passport details (only when we have to send them to airlines or local operators), payment info, and whatever you write in the “special requests” box. We need that to make the trip happen, send you updates, and not leave you stranded on some island.
Sometimes you send us a photo of your passport or a selfie from the trip – we keep it exactly as long as we need it and then delete it.
How we use it
We use your info to run the trip, send you reminders, answer your questions, and occasionally send you an email when we launch something ridiculously cool (usually 4-6 times a year). If you don’t want those emails, one click on “unsubscribe” and you’re out forever – no hard feelings.
We never sell, rent, or “share for marketing purposes” your data with anyone. Ever.
Who sees your data
Only four groups of people:
Our tiny team (the ones who actually answer your emails).
The guides and local operators who need your name and passport to get you on boats, into parks, or checked into mountain huts.
Payment processors (the usual secure ones – your card never touches our servers).
Lawyers or authorities if they knock with a proper court order (hasn’t happened yet).
That’s the entire list.
Where we keep it
Everything lives on encrypted servers in the United States and a couple of backups in Europe. Passport scans and payment details are encrypted twice and deleted the moment the trip is over (usually 30-60 days after you get home).
Your rights
You can ask us any time what we have on you, correct it, delete it, or just tell us to forget you exist. Shoot an email to [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject and we’ll sort it within a couple of days, no paperwork, no questions asked.
Cookies and boring tech stuff
Yes, we use cookies – the ones that remember your language, keep the booking form from disappearing, and show you the right prices. You can turn them off in your browser, the site will still work, just a bit clunkier.
We also use basic analytics to see which trips make people scream (in a good way). No personal tracking across the internet, no creepy ads following you around.
Kids
If you’re under 16, please get your parents to book or at least talk to us first.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change anything important, we’ll let you know by email and put a big notice on the site. Last update: November 2025.
