What actually happens

Friday
You land in Lisbon anytime before 6 pm, we pick you up in a van, quick stop for pastel de nata and coffee, then straight to Nazaré. Sunset check of Praia do Norte from the lighthouse, jaws usually drop here already. Quick house rules, gear check, big pasta dinner we cook together, early sleep because tomorrow is wild.

Saturday
5:30 wake-up, coffee, watch the dawn patrol from the cliff. If the swell is on (and it almost always is in winter), the coaches decide who paddles and who gets towed first. You rotate: some sessions you paddle into 15-20 ft faces the old-school way, some you get jet-ski assist to catch the proper monsters. Safety boat never leaves your side. Lunch on the beach, second session in the afternoon when light gets golden, by sunset your arms are jelly but you're grinning like crazy. Evening: bonfire, someone brings a guitar, stories get louder with every beer.

Sunday
Easier morning, we surf the smaller (but still punchy) beach breaks south of the canyon so you actually catch a ton of waves and get photos. Around 2 pm we pack, quick fish lunch in town, then drive back to Lisbon airport for flights after 6 pm. Most people still smell like smoke and saltwater when they board, best feeling ever.

Vibe of the house
Old fisherman’s villa literally 30 seconds from the cliff path, huge windows facing the break, hammocks on the terrace, outdoor shower for wetsuits, bunk rooms and a couple private doubles (first come first served). It feels more like crashing at your cool friend’s place than a hostel.

Weather & waves
Water 14-17 °C, air 10-20 °C, 4/3 wetsuit with hood and gloves provided. Average wave height in season 12-30 ft, some weekends it goes full Code Red, then we just watch from the lighthouse and surf the smaller spots, still epic.
That’s pretty much it. Three days, zero bullshit, maximum stoke. Book it and thank me later :)
